What to wear to your boudoir shoot
Lingerie, dresses and luxury looks: how to choose what makes you feel powerful.
Start with how you want to look
Before you open your wardrobe, think of one word: elegant, powerful, soft, classic, daring. That word decides everything else. When you write to me, we choose it together and design each look from there.
Lingerie: yours, and a perfect fit
- Your exact size: anything too tight leaves marks, anything too loose creates folds.
- Matching sets look more polished on camera.
- Lace, tulle and satin add texture and light. Sheer lace and tulle look beautiful.
- A bodysuit or a corset is the easiest choice: flattering, with nothing to coordinate.
Dresses
A long satin dress, a slip dress or a dress with a high slit is pure glamour, and perfect for a hotel, a balcony at night or the beach.
Colours that work
Avoid strongly saturated yellows and neons: on camera they compete with your skin.
- Black: the classic, elegant in any light.
- White and ivory: bright and delicate.
- Wine red: warm, with real presence.
- Nude and skin tones: very flattering in the studio.
Layers, heels and jewellery
- An oversized white shirt, a satin robe or a coat over your lingerie adds movement without a full change.
- Heels lengthen the leg, even in seated photos.
- Stockings with a garter belt, if you like them.
- Fine jewellery: less is more.
How many looks to bring
Bring an extra option or two: on the day we choose together what works best with the light and the setting.
- Essential: 1 look.
- Signature: 2 or 3 looks.
- Full Experience: as many as you like, with hair and make-up included.
The days before
- On the day, arrive in loose clothes, with no elastic or seams that mark the skin.
- Keep your skin hydrated in the days before.
- Neat nails, in a discreet shade or one that matches your looks.
Can you help me choose my looks?
Yes. Send me photos of what you have and what you like, and I'll help you put your looks together before the session.
